To answer the question, "How will we respond to students who aren't learning?"

PREVENTING THE SPREAD OF ILLNESS:

- Children and adults should be kept home from school if they are sick. A physician should be contacted by the parents if the child exhibits flu-like symptoms.
- Children and adults should cover their mouth and nose with a tissue when coughing or sneezing, or cough into
their elbow.
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick. When you are sick, keep your distance from others to protect
them from getting sick too.
- Wash hands frequently using soap and water, or clean with alcohol-based hand cleaner.
- Avoid touching eyes, nose or mouth.
- Practice other good health habits. Keep yourself strong - and more resistant to disease - by getting plenty of
sleep, staying physically active, managing stress, drinking plenty of fluids and eating nutritious food.
We appreciate all of the parents who attended October's Latinos for Education meeting. We know that you are eager to be involved in your student's academic, emotional, and social progress. We would like to see
more of you at each meeting, get to know you better, and listen to the opinions and ideas you share. It's true that nothing can be achieved without great enthusiasm, and knowing that our children are the most wonderful thing we have gives us great enthusiasm to participate! Please join the PTSA, which is the Parent, Teacher, and Student Association. We need your help, if you can volunteer at the activities coming up in December. If you wish to participate please contact the school, and for your convenience there are people who speak Spanish. Thanks for all you do to ensure the progress of your students!
