As you know Lakeridge Junior High School has been undergoing a remodel to our building. We are very excited about this project and
feel it will add to how functional our building is in delivering education to the students. The project is expected to be finished by the start of
the 2009-10 school year, but there is still a great amount of work that must be completed. The following is a summary of what is being done
with the remodel.

We appreciate the support of students and parents alike who donated to our first-ever Penny War. We made over $600 for the PTSA, which makes next year’s treasurer breathe a little easier! The students had fun and each day was more and more successful as they caught on. We
appreciate also the willingness of three teachers, Mr. Rich, Mr. Christensen, and Mr. Willey, to help motivate the kids.
CONGRATULATIONS to the 9th graders! They ended up with the most points and had a fun popcorn assembly during FLEX. Mr. Willey
let them tape him to the gym wall! (Please don’t let your kids try this at home!) A special thank you to PTSA volunteer Jeanette Parker and
Utah Community Credit Union for helping us count a bazillion coins every day and to 9th grade Student Council member Ethan Preet, who
really knows how to work the lunchroom crowd!
